| John S. Corda: President
John Corda was born and raised on a farm in California's Salinas Valley, where even today, his family continues to farm asparagus, lettuce and brocoli. After receiving a Bachelor's Degree from UCLA in 1973, John relocated to the Lake Tahoe Basin and began working in the construction trade a few years later. In 1982, John S. Corda Construction was formally launched and maintains licenses in California and Nevada. In the company's 29 years, Corda Construction has completed over 51 custom homes, 29 commercial projects of varying size and complexity, as well as numerous remodels in the Tahoe Basin, Truckee and beyond.
John and his wife of 31 years, Jan, have been fortunate enough to raise two daughters in Tahoe City. Katie, 28, is employed with the County of Santa Barbara, and Lauren, 25, graduated from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego and recently passed her California Licensure Exam and will be practicing accupuncture in Tahoe City. John is very active in the community and is grateful to spend time not only sailing on Lake Tahoe, but skiing around it all winter long. |
Joan Jones: Controller
Joan Jones was born and raised in Truckee, California and graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a degree in Accounting in 1983. Joan worked for Northstar at Tahoe for 13 years as Director of Food and Beverage and in 1997, became General Manager of Garwoods Grill and Pier in Carnelian Bay. In 1998 she joined John S. Corda Construction assuming the duties of contract procurement, preparation of estimates and budgets, overseeing all operations of the office including invoicing, payroll and payable, as well as job site coordination. Over time, Joan's role at Corda Construction has grown and she has managed and overseen the construction of many sophisticated and demanding projects, playing an integral role in the production of some of Tahoe's finest residences.
Joan continues to live in her home town with her husband Russ, and has one daughter, Katy, 23, who is studying nursing at the University of Nevada Reno. Joan and Russ founded Truckee River Winery 21 years ago, producing critically acclaimed Pinot Noir, Zinfandel and Merlot and in 2009, opened a tasting room on Old Brockway Road. Joan is very active in the community as a member of the Truckee River Watershed Council and is a board member for the Far West Nordic Ski Education Association. She is also an elected official of the Truckee Town Council.

Laurie Axell: Bookkeeper Laurie has been with Corda Construction since 2008 and handles all the bookkeeping needs of the office including payroll, invoicing and day-to-day office management. As a 20+ year resident of Tahoe City, she enjoys mountain biking, skiing and swimming. | |
| Douglas Nibouar: Superintendent
Doug Nibouar was born and raised in Texas where he attended the University of Texas, receiving his Bachelor's degree in Education. With contractor's licenses in both California and Nevada, Doug joined Corda Construction in 1992, building the Kraft Home in Incline Village, Nevada. In 2000, Doug was the Estimator/Superintendent for the Pet Network Project and skillfully brought the project in on time and under budget. Doug's duties include project estimates, job site supervision, job coordination and overall project management. Doug specializes in executing the clean and challenging lines of Modern and contemporary design and was superintendent on the Lemelson, Abbasi, McCafferty and Capiaux-Simpson projects. Doug's son Ryan, who works at Corda Construction during the summer, graduated from Biola University in 2008. Doug resides in Reno, is an avid fisherman and is active in his church.

| Dave Stewart: Superintendent Dave has been with Corda Construction since 1989 and has learned the construction trade from John. Dave's duties include job site supervision, job coordination and project management. He specializes in creating the traditional Tahoe Mountain Home and supervised the construction of the Pond, Bochner, Duffy, Burton and Detkin residences. Dave lives in Truckee with his wife and children, and enjoys sailing and skiing. |
